Founded in Ukraine, Grammarly develops an AI assistant for communication and productivity. Every day, over 40 million people worldwide and more than 3,000 educational institutions, including Stanford University, the University of California in Los Angeles, Florida State University, and the University of Pennsylvania, use Grammarly's services.

Grammarly for Education provides comprehensive support that goes beyond standard spelling and grammar checks, offering suggestions to improve clarity, conciseness, tone, and other writing aspects, along with explanations to help users refine their writing skills over time. Additionally, the product includes generative AI features that can be enabled by institutional administrators, automatic citation generation, a plagiarism detector, and the Authorship feature.

Notably, Authorship is a key tool for supporting students in the era of generative AI, as it helps them generate reports on the writing process by categorizing text as human-typed, AI-generated, modified with generative AI, pasted from a known or unknown source, or edited using Grammarly or a native spell checker. This allows students to verify the originality of their work when necessary.

Grammarly is committed to responsible AI innovation and development and has created the "AI for Students" course, which provides students with guidelines on the ethical and effective use of AI technologies.
